CHARACTERISTICS

The Capitol Hotel Tokyu has a long history of providing luxury hotel, originally starting in 1963. The hotel is located between the Imperial Palace and Hie Shrine, puts guests at the beating heart of metropolis. Entering the property through a bamboo grove into the Kengo Kuma-designed entrance hall, this Japanese-owned hotel incorporates the calming aesthetics of a traditional Japanese house, within a modern skyscraper. The hotel offers exclusive experiences for guests including geisha-hosted dinners and Shinto ceremony experiences - and is a favorite of international VIPs
Embracing the so-called night economy in Tokyo, the new hotel in Shinjuku is part of the Shinjuku Tokyu Milano project - a tower complex that will be built on the former site of Shinjuku Milanoza, The hotel will occupy the top floors of the 48 floor, 225 metre high main building, whilst cinemas, theatres and an event space for live entertainment are also planned for the complex. A bus terminal that will connect to Haneda and Narita airports is also planned for construction next to the tower.
